HMPH! You'll be sorry! Don't say I didn't warn you!

Thank you. Thank you so much.\r\nForgive my rough words earlier. My name is Thomlin Prendergast. Jonas was my older brother. The story I told you before was true... I was there. After Sophilia's accident, Jonas went mad. He locked himself in his workshop, refusing to see anyone, ignoring our pleas through the door to take food and water. Even the constant thrum of the Prendergast Toy Machine that once permeated the house fell silent as Jonas mourned.

One day, the noises of the Toy Machine started up again! We rushed up to the Workshop door, hoping that Jonas had come out. But the door remained locked, and the noises coming from within... these were not the same noises as before! It was a terrible screeching, like the grinding of gears, fearsome thumping noises, and god knows what else!

To make matters worse, many of the household staff swore to have seen the ghost of Sophilia... and they began to desert the house. I confess... I saw her myself. Soon, everyone had left. The only ones who remained behind were myself, Edmunds, our loyal butler, and Jonas' wife, Ludmilla, who could not bear to leave the life she had to which she had grown accustomed.

I had an extra key to Jonas' Workshop, and Edmunds begged me to go in and talk to my brother. With great fear and trepidation, I ascended to the top of the house, climbing to the heights of my brother's workspace.

There, I found Jonas... dead at the controls of his Toy Machine. He had been dead for awhile. There were toys everywhere.

Standing there, in front of my brother's lifeless body, his huge mechanical contraption looming above me... I couldn't help but feel that somehow part of Jonas' spirit, his grief, had entered his Toy Machine. As if it had heard my thoughts, the machine began to crank out toys... monstrous toys I had never seen before! They were my brother's toys... but twisted, hateful. In my haste and fright, I dropped my key as I fled the house. I... I have never gone back in since.

... I realize now what my mission is. Please talk to me in a minute.

If you somehow helped my brother... and my niece... he would have wanted you to have this. Jonas made this for Sophilia, that dear thing... He intended it as a gift for Sophilia for her 16th birthday. It is a powerful protective charm. Use it wisely.

As I mentioned, this home belongs to Jonas Prendergast, the premier toy maker in Masteria, and perhaps all of the Maple World! Master Prendergast makes all of his wonderful toys right here, in his Workshop at the top of this house. You have heard of the Prendergast Toy Company, haven't you? No?!

It is as I feared. I should say, Master Prendergast was once the premier toy maker, but as you can see, this place, and his reputation, has recently fallen into a bit of disrepair. Master Prendergast once made the most wondrous toys, his delightful creations were beloved by all children! His products made him rich, many times over, affording him this lavish home, and that drew the attention of many females. Jonas has been married several times over - seven wives in all, in fact.

However, Jonas had but a fleeting passion toward all of his wives- even this latest one. But the only female who held his attention was his daughter, Sophilia.

Ah, Sophilia. Such a happy, darling child. Then came that tragic day, a day which will be scarred forever in my memory... A terrible, dark day. Since that day, this house has grown so cold, so cold...

Enough of my prattling... We must all carry on, so back to the task at hand! The groundskeeper, who used to chop and gather the firewood for the house, was one of our recent casualties... We have no more, and it will take much to fill all the fireplaces of this manse. If you can help me by bringing me 60 4000018, it would get Ludmilla off my back, at least for the moment. Ludmilla is Master Prendergast's current wife, the current lady of the house. She has been complaining about the chill. Do hurry with the wood, Ludmilla can be quite the merciless nag!

Now I must go tend to my next task... apparently Ludmilla wants me to sweep out the Chimney. Of all things! Especially after what happened to Miss Sophilia! The woman never runs out of thankless tasks for me to perform!

In fact, if you are looking for more to do, you can go see Ludmilla. I'm sure there's a million and a half things that wretched woman needs help with. I understand if you balk at the thought though, I know firsthand how difficult she can be. If you are not up for being harangued, take my advice and steer clear of her... or she'll press you into her service whether you wish it or not!

I've heard rumors that the ghost of Sophilia still walks the halls of this house. Sometimes... I think I even hear her voice coming from her bedroom.\r\n

Truth be told, that's the real reason why so many of the household staff have deserted the house. They say she still wanders about, seemingly still searching for something. I haven't seen her myself, and I can't imagine what she'd be searching for, but the thought of her not getting what she wants, even if it's only her spirit, well, it's more than I can bear.

When Sophilia was alive, she couldn't get enough of Gummy Slimes, her favorite candy. It's been a long time since we've had them in the pantry. I... I used to keep some in stock just for her. If she's still 'here', I would feel better if we still had some around. Bring me 80 Gummy Slimes, 20 of each color (Red, Green, Orange, and Purple), and I'll give you my Omni Key, which will allow you to unlock the fireplaces and access the Chimney.

The only problem is that I seem to be missing my jewelry! I can't find it anywhere! Worst of all, I had several pieces commissioned by two very famous --and very expensive-- jewelers and now every piece is gone! My prized 4031769s and 4031770s have vanished! There is no way I'm showing up to a ball without the right accoutrements! That would simply be embarrassing!

Where could they be? I used to catch Sophilia playing with my jewelry, and spanked the brat more than a few times for it. But now that she's... passed, I certainly can't blame her, can I? I'd blame the help, but as most of them have deserted, well... why, I don't know who to blame! But it must be around here somewhere! So, could you be a sweetheart and find my jewelry?

If you do this, I'll be sure to put in a good word for you to Edmunds when he hires more help! I am pretty sure I had at least 20 4031769s and 10 4031770s. Bring them to me, and I'll even give you something I found in return...

I remember finding this at the bottom of the stairs some time ago, so I threw it in my shoe closet... I had forgotten about it, really, until I was organizing my shoes just now.
